European premiere of the new Jeep Compass, the compact SUV segment c. space to some special editions. All the news at the Geneva Motor Show 2017.

The Jeep brand was presented at the Geneva Motor Show 2017 with the European premiere of the new Jeep Compass. You have chosen the 87th Edition of the international exhibition in Geneva to unveil to the public the new European C-segment compact SUV that combines style and personalization to the classical quality from off-road 4 × 4. Next to the Jeep Compass, there was also room for three new Special Edition models: the Special Edition Wrangler Rubicon and Wrangler, Grand Cherokee Night Recon Eagle Night Eagle, all topped off with many vehicles “moparizzati”. Let’s see in detail all the innovations on display at the Geneva Motor Show Jeep stand.

THE NEW 2019 JEEP COMPASS

The introduction in Europe of the new Jeep Compass was held during the press conference convened at 13:30 by Tuesday, March 7 at booth Jeep (Hall 5). The new Compass is a key model globally: already sold in South America, now is the time in EMEA. Jeep style, elegant and strong personal, inspired by his older sister design level Jeep Grand Cherokee. You can customize it by choosing two-tone paint jobs on an aesthetic level, different models of alloy wheels or other aesthetic accouterments also offered by Mopar.

The engine range will revolve around the 2.0-liter turbodiesel Multijet II, offered in two steps of power from 140 and 170 horses. Almost certainly should not miss even the smallest 1.6 Multijet II. NEW JEEP MOPAR EDITION 2019

2019 JEEP WRANGLER RUBICON RECON

The new Wrangler Rubicon 4 × 4 capability ensures additional Recon to the already classic qualities of the original model. The new Special Edition features improved performance 4 × 4 Recon thanks to the addition of specific components for off-road, including a more robust front axle and differential covers heavy-duty cast iron. This version is also equipped with insertable all-wheel drive system of the Wrangler, with Dana 44 front and rear axles with electronic locking, to whom power is sent through a Rock-Trac transfer box with reduction ratio “4-Low” by 4:1. It is available as standard with a front and rear axle ratio 4.10 and Tru-Lok locking differentials.

The Recon has characteristics that underscore the strong personality: the 18-inch alloy wheels ″ Granite Crystal Low Gloss, a Dual Top black (which includes hard top and soft top) and the Power Dome hood with dual air intake and black decal “Rubicon” written in red on both sides. Low Gloss Black Grill with inserts and frames of lighthouses on Granite Crystal Low Gloss and a Jeep badge on a red base give it a more aggressive look to the Wrangler Rubicon Recon. The exterior of the new model include a Trail Rated logo with red trim, a fuel cap black, a black hard spare wheel housing and a special side badge “Recon” indicating the exclusivity of this special edition model.

The Interior of the new Wrangler Rubicon Recon are characterized by black and Red details: in particular, red stitching decorating the heated black leather seats with embroidered logo “Rubicon”. The arms of the front doors and console tables covered in black vinyl, retinas with red detailing on the front and rear door pockets and on the center console, in addition to seatbelts with red details, help to distinguish the fitting Recon from the rest of the range Wrangler. The leather-wrapped steering wheel with black stitching and finishing New Midnight Star races make even more exclusive the new Special Edition model. A section on the dashboard shows information related to front and rear axles, stabilizer bar, the drop box and tyres.

The standard equipment for comfort and infotainment includes the Alpine audio system with subwoofer and Uconnect navigation system with CD/DVD/MP3, 6.5 inch touchscreen and AUX and USB ports. The new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon mount a turbo diesel engine with five-speed automatic transmission from 2.8-liter capable of delivering 200 HP. The commercial launch in Europe will begin in the second quarter of 2017.

2019 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE NIGHT EAGLE

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition Jai E becomes more exclusive, thanks to a more aggressive and better sportsmanship. The exterior is embellished with black trim and equipment offers a complete standard equipment. The look “dark”, one of the distinguishing characteristics of the special series Night Eagle, has already been applied in the past two years to the Cherokee and the Renegade, and now also debuts on the Grand Cherokee and Wrangler.

The area surrounding the vehicle color is Gloss Black grille, while the inside features coloring Platinum Chrome. The frames of the headlights and the lower part of the front range in Gloss Black provide a distinctive look to the front of the car. The Gloss Black moulding and logos “Jeep” and “4 × 4 ″ take up the theme” obscured “that characterizes the exterior. The Night Eagle is equipped with tires 20 “aluminum alloy wheels Gloss Black, while the exteriors are complemented by a dedicated Night Eagle badge.

The interiors of the new model include leather upholstery with perforated suede inserts and stitching premium Black Capris in black. Gun Metal anodized finishes are built into the instrument panel and door trim panels.

The Grand Cherokee Jai E 3.0 liter diesel MultiJet II engine and eight-speed automatic transmission with 250 HP. The model is already available at Jeep dealerships in four different colours: Black, White, Silver and Granite Billet Crysta.

2019 JEEP WRANGLER NIGHT EAGLE

The Special Edition Wrangler Jai E has a special beauty treatment, with more exclusive Gloss Black finishes that make the Jeep icon look, helping to distinguish it visually from the other models in the range Wrangler.
As for the exterior, the grid in body color with slits in black Mid Gloss and frames of lighthouses in the same color give the Wrangler Jai E an aggressive appearance. The 18 aluminum alloy wheels ″ Gloss Black and shield grilles emphasize that the vehicle is capable of facing the most extreme tracks. There is, then, the Dual Top in body color (with the options soft top and hard top), while the new decal “Wrangler” in Gloss Black and those on the hood and rear make recognizable the new model.

As for the Interior, the new Wrangler Night Eagle has leather seats with black sports netting McKinley black and leather steering wheel, both of which have Diesel Gray stitching. The vinyl instrument panel and front door armrests with Diesel Gray stitching, the grab bar and the frames of vents in Piano Black complete the unique interior of this Special Edition. The standard equipment includes the Alpine Premium sound system with subwoofer and Uconnect GPS with CD/DVD/MP3, 6.5 inch touchscreen and AUX and USB ports. The 2.8-liter turbo diesel engine Jai E, with five-speed automatic transmission capable of delivering 200 HP. In Italy the new Wrangler Jai E in Special Edition is available in four different colours of the exterior: Black, Billet Silver, Bright White and Granite Crystal.

NEW JEEP MOPAR EDITION

As we have already mentioned, there are some models of the American brand booth with Mopar. Let’s start with the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with Blue with special external Chief branding package for off-road Mopar One, including fully approved the sale of lift kits and accessories by the manufacturer. With Mopar One you go to further increase the performance of off-road driving. The package includes: kit high by 2 sec; stabilizer bar, black alloy wheels 17 ″ Performance Gladiator with tyres Hankook Dynapro 265/75 R17, front and rear mudguard, fuel cap black and badge Mopar. Apart from the Pack Mopar One, the Wrangler Rubicon on display is enhanced by a special bodykit which includes light-bar black with halogen lights for off-road, black front grille, black running boards, hood with air vents, front half doors and hoods mirrors in body color. Also for the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2.8 litre engine with Mopar One package and 200 HP with a five-speed automatic transmission.

There is, then, the Jeep Cherokee Overland, equipped with functional content signed Mopar, including removable crossbars ski and snowboard-ski all branded with Jeep. The vehicle has Light color outdoor Mopar chrome mirrors, bonnets and Brownstone is powered by the powerful 2.2 liters and 200 HP turbo diesel MultiJet II, paired with an automatic transmission ZF to nine gears.

Finally, closes with the Jeep Renegade. Based on Limited, Jeep Renegade “moparizzata” on display in Geneva have a customization of the exterior that includes mirror covers and front grille matte black. The exteriors are in Granite Crystal, with black leather interior. 1.6-litre diesel MultiJet II engine and 120 HP, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with dual dry clutch (DDCT).

THE 2019 JEEP TRAILHAWK FAMILY

For the first time in a European motor show, the Jeep brand will exhibit the full range Trailhawk, complete the new Jeep Compass Trailhawk. The name Trailhawk is a guarantee of off-road capabilities at the highest level and direct link and unequivocal testimony of relics of the Jeep brand: these models embody not only the approach to “zero-compromises” typical of any Jeep model, but also their legendary capacity 4 × 4. The first Jeep with “Trailhawk” was the Cherokee, introduced in Europe in 2014, followed by Renegade. With the 2017 model year the Grand Cherokee has been equipped with the preparation Trailhawk, presented at the Paris Motor Show in October 2016.
