The 2018 VW Amarok V6 pickup range also includes the new version with the 8-speed automatic transmission combined with the permanent integral drive.
New at-home Volkswagen, the range of the pickup Amarok now also foresees the presence of the new version with the automatic transmission with 8 gears that is combined with the permanent integral traction. An important addition that has been officially communicated a few days after the presentation, at the Geneva Motor Show 2012, of the Amarok Canyon Concept. Amarok with double cab has been equipped with a new 8-speed automatic gearbox, which is added to the last Amarok with the single cab.
The new automatic transmission is an absolute novelty in the pickup segment. The ratio of the gearbox has been developed to allow the spacing between the first and eighth reports. Volkswagen Amarok Automatic gearbox is combined with permanent integral traction. The present engine is the new TDI Biturbo from 180 hp and 420 Nm of maximum torque, while the towing weight is now increased to 3.2 tonnes, while the maximum speed is 179 km/h.
In the BlueMotion version, VW Amarok with automatic gearbox is equipped with the Start & Stop system, which, together with the various solutions that are part of the BlueMotion technology, also contributes to greater attention to consumption and emissions. The German car manufacturer declares lower consumption compared to the same TDI version as 163 HP, which is equipped with a manual gearbox, are in fact 7.6 litres of fuel for 100 km, and CO2 emissions in the order of 199 g/km. A remarkable advantage that for those who often use a pickup, is not to be underestimated because it is a feature that besides contributing to polluting less, also allows you to spend less money and condition less your own finances.
The 2018 VW Amarok V6 is available in the Trendline and Highline layouts and also includes the introduction of single cab versions. The set-up, which was made on the same floor of Amarok double Cab, allows a greater and better exploitation of the loading surface, which reaches 2,205 mm. The load width between the wheel is always the same, with a load surface of 3.57 square meters. Freight is guaranteed by six anchor eyelets that are supplied as standard. Important features that can affect the choice of those who want to buy a Volkswagen of this type, especially for business needs.
The pickup has two engines: 2.0 TDI from 122 hp with variable geometry turbine and 340 nm of torque, and Biturbo common rail from 163 HP and 400 nm of maximum torque. The traction is available both rear and integral insertable 4Motion with the gearbox, with 6-speed manual transmission. The new vehicle made by the German car manufacturer is equipped as standard with the electronic locking of the differential, while on request, the mechanical block of the rear differential is available for both engines. The standard equipment includes ESP, front and side airbags.
A kind of car that has always been much appreciated in the new continent, where it is adapted and be much more useful for those that are the needs of the American motorist, but also for the type of roads and territory that are in the United States.
