2019 Mercedes B-Class – Redesign, Platform, Features & More
Look more aggressive for the2019 Mercedes B-Class, which can be ordered from December 2018. For Mercedes it’s time to renew the Mercedes B-Class , minivan that made history and has managed to satisfy a good number of customers in all countries of marketing. For 2019, the Stella brand has decided to make it more aesthetically sporty , while maintaining the classic and unparalleled comfort of the interior.
The 2019 Mercedes B-Class has had the task of having to enter a complex segment, with the specification of having to be aesthetically aggressive but at the same time exclusive, in such a way as to go beyond the offer of the competition.
2019 Mercedes B-Class Redesign
The designers then drew low hands from the last Mercedes style course, which we have already seen on models such as the new A-Class, the new CLS or the big SUV GLE present at the Paris Motor Show 2018, so as to “disguise” the traits from minivan without sacrificing the interior space. They succeeded thanks to a flat front end which incorporates a large grille, with completely redesigned optic units on each side and which are available in different variants depending on the set-up: full-LED or with a pair of LED position lights and headlights H7. Then there are the short front and rear overhangs, which combined with the extended wheelbase and the rims that have an average size larger, optionally in sizes between 16 and 19 inches, can give an idea of greater sportiness, then emphasized by the line roof shifted slightly lower.
Just the lower roof is one of the factors that has improved the aerodynamics of the 2019 Mercedes B-Class, particular that as we all know is of increasing importance in the world of cars. Not only did the roof contribute to a Cx of 0.24 (the previous was at 0.25), but also the presence of a large spoiler on the rear window and small flaps on the sides of the same rear window. Further down we find the stops from the form that we have seen to be close relative to that adopted for the new A-Class.
Internally the idea of the B-Class has always been to make all the occupants comfortable and this new generation seems to keep imprinting. Good space on board thanks to the wheelbase of 2,729 mm, with wraparound seats and a dashboard that is proposed and projected towards those who are sitting in the front row. The controls are almost exclusive to the driver because it is in its half of the bridge that are mainly concentrated the two displays for instrumentation and infotainment as well as air conditioning and ventilation vents, while the passenger enjoys a simple dashboard with relaxing volumes. The seats, however, can be ordered with massage function as well as air conditioning.
2019 Mercedes B-Class Engine Specs
Unmissable MBUX System, the personal assistant that Mercedes has now abundantly introduced, as well as all the electronic driving support systems adopted by the sisters recently commercialized. At the launch, there will be a series of engines both diesel and gasoline, with powers ranging from 116 to 190 horsepower for the first and from 136 to 163 horsepower for the latter, all now falling within the EURO-6d TEMP. So much research has been behind the design of diesel engines, which Mercedes will then continue to offer, unlike other brands, to bring them to a level of efficiency and cleanliness of reference.
