Let’s start now, however, from the aspect that affects more than one electric car: the autonomy of the new Nissan Leaf. The launch will be proposed with a lithium-ion battery pack of 40 kWh, with an improved energy density of 67%, sufficient specification to offer 378 km recorded in the NEDC cycle, definitely optimistic. Therefore, in real use, a lower autonomy is foreseeable than the declared value. In the course of 2019 will arrive the second version of Nissan Leaf, with more powerful engine and larger battery, should be the variant 60 kWh.
The recharge times are biblical from the home network. With a supply of 3 kW serving 16 hours for a “full” battery, it is reduced to 8 hours with a supply of 6 kW. Using the fast charging stations, however, 80% of the charge is obtained in 40 minutes.
