The new sports version of the 2020 Skoda Kodiaq RS SUV will debut at the 2018 Paris Motor Show with the 240-horsepower diesel.
There was a lot of discussion about the 2020 Skoda Kodiaq RS, the sports version of the large Czech SUV. All doubts were subsequently clarified and the RS version actually found its own dimension, with arrival on the market shortly but especially with a debut at the Paris Motor Show 2018. As is easily expected, the new variant is distinguished by a more aggressive aesthetic, with a dedicated body kit. This will include new bumpers on the front and rear, but also glossy black finishes, spoilers above the rear window and side skirts.

Other specific modifications of the 2020 Skoda Kodiaq RS relate to the stiffer suspension and sports suspension, with a revised set-up compared to the standard. There is also a greater braking system with colored brake calipers and “vRS” logos scattered here and there: in this regard, the new RS logo with red tint also arrives at the debut.
Also inside the designers have made changes, but only with minor changes, such as new seat covers in Alcantara or steering wheel and gear knob dedicated. Also interesting is the presence of the Virtual Cockpit, the fully digital instrumentation that also has a Carbon-themed background, as well as the ability to carry on board up to seven people, although sacrificing the luggage cap that goes from 600 to 231 liters in volume when two people are seated in the third row.

The new Skoda Kodiaq RS is powered by the 2.0-liter BiTDI, bi-turbo diesel that turns out to be the most powerful ever produced by Skoda, capable of interesting performance. This unit develops 240 horsepower (176 kW) at 3,500 rpm and the beauty of 500 Nm at 1,750 rpm of maximum torque. The sound of the engine varies depending on the driving mode chosen, to emphasize it in the Sport mode or to cushion it in Eco mode, but the data speak of a 0-100 km / h covered in seven seconds. The classic four-wheel drive, which is essential for this type of car, could not be missing from the engine, while the gearbox is the 7-speed DSG.
