The 2020 Toyota RAV4 was unveiled at the New York Auto Show. Futuristic Design, more space, and technology aboard the Japanese SUV come to the fifth generation.
The wait for the debut of the 2020 Toyota RAV4 had been skilfully powered by the Japanese house with a teaser image that anticipated some sections of the front. The wait was rewarded with the unveiling of today at the New York Show, which showed the unprecedented design of the fifth generation of one of the longest-running SUVs on the market.
2020 Toyota RAV4 Redesign and Changes
The reference to the Concept FT-AC revealed in Los Angeles is evident in the front and in the lines that outline a more muscular and racier profile of the new RAV 4, which at the first impact appears more generous in size than the outgoing model. This is not the case: the dimensions are almost unchanged and therefore indicate 460 cm in length and 185 wide. The pitch was increased by 3 cm, to give more space to passengers without sacrificing the trunk, which is more spacious (the figure on the size has not been supplied).
The cockpit is more Spacious, thanks to the increase in pace, and more technological thanks to the new system of Infotainment now also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa. The adoption of the new TNGA platform allowed the lowering of the center of gravity and a better distribution of the masses, as well as a torsional rigidity increased by 57%. As a pioneer of hybrid technology, Toyota is among the ranks of those who have already renounced diesel engines.
2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid; Engine Specs & Transmission
Under the hood of the new RAV 4 There is a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2.5 petrol 4-cylinder Atkinson cycle, coupled with 2 electric motors, one of which is located near the rear axle to have a hybrid full-wheel drive combined with the CVT automatic transmission. In addition to the RAV 4 Hybrid, the version is available from 2.5 petrol to Atkinson cycle whose power has not yet been branched.
All versions of the 2020 Toyota RAV4 offer the standard security package Toyota safety Sense, which includes emergency braking, pedestrian recognition, adaptive cruise control, Active Lane Departure Alert, automatic dazzling, lane Tracing Assist and Recognition of road signs. Optional Blind Spot Monitor, Bird’s Eye View Camera, intelligent Clearance Sonar (ICS) and Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB) are available.
