Launch the challenge to the Bugatti Chiron, for which will be the fastest road car in the world. John Hennessey, CEO of the homonymous company, defined the F5 as “an assault on wheels”, a clear manifestation of intent. The same acronym is not random. F5 is the highest level in the Tornado Rating scale, the Fuji scale, with the F1 to F5 classification, the latter corresponding to winds of speed between 417 and 508 km/h.
At the SEMA 2017 have emerged some of the features of Venom F5, a technical card that has in the engine V8 twin-turbo 7.4 liters The beating heart, made entirely by Hennessey. The goal is to pass the 1,620 horsepower, with 1,763 Nm of torque, to launch the hypercar over 482 km/h of maximum speed. It wants to be the fastest road car on the planet. It will be realized in 24 pieces just, each with a starting price of 1 million and 600,000 dollars, just under 1.4 million euros, a figure destined to grow with the personalization of the hypercar. A thorough study led to the definitive aerodynamic configuration, which boasts a Cd, aerodynamic drag coefficient, equal to 0.33. Active aerodynamics, also to be detailed in the operation of individual wings, fins and flow diverters.
From the images it turns out the very very low front, the wide splitter to divide the streams, the openings around the wheels to handle the turbulence and to enlarge the air towards the lateral sockets, divided into two parts. In the tail, the wing has relatively small dimensions, operation that binds to the spoiler between the two headlights, above the exhaust terminals.
