New SUV Volkswagen T-Roc 2018 Review, Design, Engine Specs
The Volkswagen T-Roc 2018 will make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2017 and will compete with Renault Captur and Peugeot 2008.
There is great ferment in VW home for the new SUV of segment B Volkswagen T-Roc 2018. After having dealt with the launch of the new generation of the Volkswagen Polo, the Germans can now take care to enrich the offer of segment B with a new model. A small crossover is ideal for earning a good slice of sales in Europe, as they have taught the achievements of Renault Captur or Peugeot 2008. The new T-Roc was anticipated by the Volkswagen T-Roc Concept at the Geneva Motor Show 2014, and now the house is hung to unveil the model series in a few days. In the meantime, some official sketches have been released that make us realize what are the major differences compared to the concept car 3 years ago. The front is aggressive, with small horizontal development headlights ideally connected to the generous central mask.
A youthful and sporty style
The front of the Volkswagen T-Roc Definitive also shows unprecedented details about the concept, such as the two big black elements on the sides of the bumper, which take the place of the two porthole lights that were on the prototype. On the underside of the bumper belt, there is a protective chute for driving off-road. It is not, however, the only detail of nature Fuoristradistica: We can not, in fact, also of the protective edges on the wheel or of the large protections on the rear bumper shield. Particular the geometry of the taillights that have a three-dimensional appearance, which aligns with the most recent family feeling of the house. The contained dimensions of the concept – 4,179 mm long, 1,831 mm wide and 1,501 mm in height – will probably be almost kept intact on the standard model, that combined with large wheels, rounded wheel and rather narrow glazed surfaces contribute to an idea of aggressiveness and sportsmanship, which certainly does not fail on such a car.
VOLKSWAGEN T-ROC: Flatbed MQB A0 as for VW POLO
The interiors, even if they have not yet been anticipated, should be similar to those of the new pole, with a large touchscreen display that dominates the central console and the possibility of having as optional the digital dashboard. Materials and finishes should be similar, once again, to those views on the new pole.
The new Volkswagen T-Roc 2018 comes from the modular MQB platform of the German group, in its most compact version baptized A0. The engines will almost certainly be the TSI from 1.0 and 1.5 liters gasoline, while for diesel there are 1.6 and 2.0 liters TDI. For the future, we rumored the introduction of the TGI a methane version, with the 1.4 turbos from 110 horsepower, and a mild-hybrid with a 48v system. The official presentation will be at the Frankfurt 2017 exhibition in September.
