Peugeot will unveil an autonomously guided electric concept at the Paris Motor Show 2018 inspired by the lines of the legendary Peugeot 504, here is the Peugeot e-Legend Concept.
Peugeot e-Legend Concept Overview
Even Peugeot embraces and explores electric drive and does so with e-Legend Concept, a self-driving hyper-technological coupé where the design explores the new possibilities offered by a propulsion released from the constraints of thermal engines. The car is inspired by the legendary 504 Coupé magazine and reinterpreted in a modern way. Light and tapered lines, a cabin more moved towards the rear, large windows. The front is distinguished by a shining luminous signature, the whole front bumper is grafted on the front fenders and is clearly separated by a black aluminum crossbeam, a legacy of chrome-plated stainless steel bumpers.
The same shape of the headlights is revived at the rear with the third brake light positioned above the rear window. Very wide glazing, always inspired by the historic Coupé, wheel arches carved in negative with the front one that integrates an air passage. The whole is emphasized by a metal arch that surrounds the side windows and amplifies the recessed rear window. Finally, externally on the third riser there is a screen that communicates to the users of the car different information, including the state of charge of the battery, while the doors open with a tactile command.
The futuristic e-Legend Concept is 4,650 mm long, 1,930 mm wide, 1,370 mm high and features a 2,690 step. Equipped with 19-inch diameter wheels and Michelin tires in a standard car size. The interiors are elegant, bright and digital. Velvet and wood, a particular wood from renewable forests, a modern reinterpretation of this material that recalls the planks of the GT fittings of the PEUGEOT 3008, 5008 and 508.
The center console allows access to the main driving functions by means of a rotary control and a 6-inch touchscreen. To the left of the steering wheel, a small bar with digital keys to be configured according to the driving mode. The design of the H-shaped seats and the vertical padding are always inspired by the PEUGEOT 504 Coupé. It could not miss the Peugeot i-Cockpit, Reverse Responsive, the latest evolution that offers a 3-quadrant head-up display and an ultra-compact steering wheel.
Peugeot e-Legend Concept Performance
The concept of the Casa del Leone stems from the realistic vision of the transition aimed at the sustainable mobility of the French brand. Peugeot e-Legend Concept is equipped with 100 kWh batteries, capable of delivering a torque of 800 Nm and a power of 340 kW (462 hp) distributed on the four-wheel drive. A level of performance that allows the transalpine car to cover 0/100 km / h in less than 4 seconds and reach a top speed of 220 km / h. The autonomy is 600 km according to the WLTP protocol, of which 500 km can be obtained in 25 minutes thanks to a fast induction charge.
