Products of compact size, pure or prone to crossover, is the engine Renault DCI 1.5 The most present among the SUVs that consume less. But what are the SUVs that consume little for sale on the market in Europe in 2017? Here’s the ranking.
Before moving on to the ranking of the less consumed SUVs, a “methodological” premise is required. With the 1.3-litre MultiJet engine from 95 horsepower, the Fiat 500x is satisfied with 4.6 litres/100 km. The Milletré offers, on the latter front, only 200 nm and the transmission provides a 5-speed gearbox. Dacia Duster and Mercedes GLA
In the fourth position in the ranking of the SUVs that consume little, two models with a declared consumption of 4.5 liters/100 km. They could not be more different. In 4 meters and 32 cm, the Dacia Duster arrives at the result of 4.5 liters/100 km with an engine Turbodiesel 1.5 liters from 110 horsepower and start & Stop series. Adequate torque, 260 nm, just enough performance, with 169 km/h of maximum speed compared to a discrete acceleration, 11 ″ 8 on zero-hundred. Traction two-wheel drive for better fuel consumption.
Mercedes GLA, however, is a premium product, measuring 4 meters and 43 cm in length and recurring to the same 1.5 liters of Renault origin of the duster. Mercedes GLA 180D Automatic offers 109 horsepower and 260 nm of torque, makes the 190 hours and speeds up in 11 ″ 9.
The return on the scene of the Honda HR-V series is accompanied by the 1.6 i-DTEC turbo diesel engine particularly park in consumption. We start from Nissan Qashqai, to which are enough 4.2 liters/100 km with 1.5 DCI engine from 110 horsepower and 260 nm. It is the unit that monopolizes our ranking, after the appearances on GLA and Duster. On Qashqai, well the pairing with 6-speed manual gearbox, certainly the performance is considerably lower than the 1.6 DCI. The 1.5 from 110 horsepower accelerates in 11 ″ 9 and reaches 182 km/h.
Peugeot 3008 is a whole new project, which has nothing to do with the previous generation. Under the hood, we find the engine 1.6 BlueHDI of PSA, with 120 horsepower and 300 nm. Start & Stop series, is in the setting up business that brand the best consumption (4.2 liters/100 km). With 189 km/h and 11 ″ 2 in acceleration, it has slightly more panache than the Qashqai of equal consumption.
Being the twin of Qashqai, it is obvious to find it on the summit. Renault Kadjar is the diesel SUV that consumes less. The request of 4.1 liters/100 km is imperceptibly lower, same 1.5 DCI from 110 horsepower and 260 nm, identical performance. It varies the style of the bodywork, the necessity dictated by the style of the brand. We are at altitude 4 meters and 45 inches long, obviously in two-wheel drive version.
Latest news launched by the Japanese house, the Toyota C-HR has a strong style, able to say something new and original in the C segment. In 4 meters and 36 centimeters, with the hybrid architecture of the Prius produces a consumption of 3.8 liters/100 km. It means that it is the SUV that consumes less than all. It has 122 horsepower under the bonnet by the thermal engine, electric unit installed on the gearbox, the torque is 142 nm.
